ok, so i am graduating from 8th grade, and we have this formal dance. so i got a dress and heels and stuff. i have a guy to go with, and when i wear the shoes plus my regular height, i think i will be taller than he is, possibly by a few inches. what do you think of this? is it ok for the girl to be taller than the guy? or will it look weird? will it make him feel not so manly or whatever? not that there is really anything i can do about the height, but i am just wondering what you think....

Coming from someone who is also really tall I say theres no problem with a girl being taller than a guy...it doesn't matter...even if he thinks its weird having his date be taller than him, most times after the first 5-10 minutes most people take their heels off anyway....dont worry about being taller than him.....its perfectly fine to be taller than a guy

Don't worry about it. Who cares if you are a few inches taller? Show him that you are a girl he can look up to. Be yourself. You should not have any doubts about yourself. You will not look weird. It will not emasculate your guy. It will not make him feel unmanly.

You must develop some self-confidence. Just keep telling yourself that you are beautiful, and you will radiate that beauty. It is all a matter of confidence and self-assurance. Convince yourself that you are going to have a good time. You go girl!

Yes. Even despite the fact that a few females may not admit, it does topic to nearly all of females. Very few might be stuck lifeless relationship a shorter man. As for me, I admit that I choose taller men however I would not brain if he used to be my top. I can not pass any shorter. I've regularly been a tall woman and it would be great to turn out to be with a taller man.

..hard to say some guys do mind some dont. Some girls actually want to be shorter...i would want to be but if you dont care go ahead.BUT bring sandals to your dance haha trust me-best tip ever your gunna want them half way through the dance after danceing with heels for hours. So anyways if its a lot...can you get shorter heals..if its like an inch w/e he wont care

If he's a good guy, it shouldn't bother him too much. But if you are really worried about how he might feel, maybe you should exchange your heels for flats. Sounds like you're the one who's worried about it being awkward, though. Better that you both feel comfortable so you can have some fun.

I'm half a foot taller than my hubby. And no it won't make him feel "not so manly" because you are 8th graders, and he is several years away from being a man!

As long as both people are cool with it and neither seem to be uncomfortable it should be fine. Have you asked him how he would feel if you're a couple inches taller than him?

I'm wondering why it's even a question.

My stepdad is an inch shorter than my mother, but he's Sicilian and she's Irish. That's how genetics work, and neither of them give a flip.

If the heels are low, I wouldn't worry about it, he knows how tall you are. If they are high heels, you might want to get lower heels...you don't want to intentionally make him feel like a shrimp.
