Of course!
There is no getting away from that unless you live all alone in the mountains and never have contact with anyone else.
Even if you did that, you would still deal with the cultural references you were brought up with.



I am American, raised by American parents in a time when Civil Rights were just being really seriously brought to bear. I remember my parents telling me that skin tone does not matter as to who the person is, while my grandparents would still make racist comments.
I know how to act like a female, not male, in my speech and gestures. When I travel abroad, people KNOW I am American before I ever speak and even when I am wearing clothes I bought locally. Its in the way I carry myself and my Euro-Mutt look.

It has made me a very secure, self-confident, and able to get along and be liked no matter where i am or who i am with.
