The defeatist cartoons teach us to fail and be mean instead of teaching good things. Bart is a ridiculous example that kids should not copy. Mike Judge and his Beavis and Butt-head series are self-explanatory.
Do you guys know Matt Groening used to draw "Chester The Molester", an X-rated cartoon series, for Playboy? Wonder what your reaction would be when you see the main character being a pedophile, slugging kids in the head with a bat to catch them.
Groening had to "clean up" his cartoons to get them on TV.

because family guy always make fun of EVERYTHING including religion but i still thinks its pretty funny because they make me laugh , whole PURPOSE of Simpson , family guy, and American dad IS TO ENTERTAIN and they are doing a pretty good job at it. But then again theres NO such thing as Perfection

Because they're crude and some older people or 'goody goodys' like sweet candy coated shows like...well I don't know what. Of course some people think cartoons are for children and when they start being 'crude' that they're going over a line of some kind. Yet you'll see those same people tune in and watch CSI with kinky sex games, blood, murder and rape and they'll call it a good show.

They make fun of certain things, but people need to let that go. The Simpsons is so funny and although some of their jokes are crude, they are just jokes, and people need to c it that way.

Uh, it promotes disfuction in familys. It kind of makes it look normal and even if most of our familys are like this it is to close to home to have to face when watching it. We are striving to not be this way, to break the cycle but it is funny to watch for those of us breaking the cycle of disfunciton. It reminds us of what we really are escaping. I personally like homer. He reminds me of me and I am a female.
