America today is not the America I grew up in. We'd all better get involved right now, or we might well live to see not only the end of the middle class but the end of America. Today, all the values our fore-fathers taught us to look up to and model ourselves after are now considered old and out of touch with the times. Today, lies, dishonesty, complete lack of integrity are qualities that are admired. Admired when instead, they should be looked at with disgust. Time is running short, very short. It might take three presidential elections to put a party in the White House that represents us instead of Corporate America and big money interests. But if we do not vote and vote heavily for a third party in this upcomming election, it's pretty much all over.

The Libertarian Party is America's largest Third Party and the one we need the most.
While Democrats are both socially and economically liberal and Republicans are socially and economically conservative, Libertarians are socially liberal but economically conservative.
Vote Ron Paul 2008!
EDIT:
joelgmt says:
"The problem with a third party is that if it leans towards the right of the political spectrum, it will take votes from the Reps and the Dems will benefit. If the third party leans towards the left, it will take votes from the Dems and benefit the Reps."
Libertarians are neither liberal nor conservative and have an equal amount of supporters from all walks of life.

If only it could be. I refuse to be either a Democrat or Republican. I'm an Independent but in Wisconsin during the primaries you have to vote along party lines. Almost got arrested a couple of years ago because I protested at the poll. Sorry. That ain't democracy and the two-party system is getting us nowhere because the "Government Of The People, By The People, and For the People" no longer exists. If it did, the majority (63% at last count) would tell Bush to get out of Iraq and he would. Saw a great bumper sticker yesterday. It read, "Save the planet, trim a Bush".

I agree, we need a third party. Republicans and Democrats in Washington are becoming more liberal and blending together into the party of special interests. I think that both the Liberitarian and Constitution parties will enjoy very strong showings in the 2008 elections and with the right candidate, one may even pick up a few electoral votes.
I noticed in an earlier response that it was stated the the Liberitarian Party was the nation's largest 3rd party. In fact, the Constitution Party is the nation's largest 3rd party. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution_Party_%28United_States%29

HELL YES! This system is so corrupt!I'm not a dem or republican, I am an American! You vote for a Republican so they won't take away your right to keep and bare arms and you get slimy, greedy people with the rich in mind,AKA the War Machine,Big oil,Pharmecuticals etc!You vote for a Democrat and you get (once again!) people trying to take away your 2nd amendment rights, abortion advocates, homosexual marriage etc.!We need someone who believes in the American way and ALL of our constitutional rights, who is not a panty waist, afraid they might offend someone with what they say!Who will take back what's left of the American way and what America really stands for.

I would love a third party...it is sorely needed in this country...of late we have shown how a two party system can completely corrupt this country and serve only those in power and care nothing about those who the elected are "supposed" to be serving.

If you are just now getting ready for a third party, you are way behind the times. There are so many political parties that it is hard to keep track of them all. The trick is to get one taken seriously. Saying that you are ready for a third party is like saying that you are ready for a fourth flavor of ice cream. Walk into Baskin Robbins and lay that line on them. See what reaction you get!

Yes! Can we keep old Ralph Nader (sorry, I still love him) AND Patrick J. Buchanan (a true visionary) around, too?
