I've asked this question
It seems that the stage is set doesn't it ?
There are huge divisions over the truth behind 9/11 andthe Iraq war - massive divisions politically all over the place
Fear mongering on both sides - some seems to be justified -
The argument that the laws are being changed to make the US a real police state - are more than credible etc
That said - there appears no will on the part of the public right now to fight
That could easily change with a snap pivotal event where before Bush and 9/11 one or two events could never have had the impact it could now
So I am not sure
The US looks like it is being put in a place where the conditions for civil war are more than possible - but without a flash point - I see nothing

It has for over 230yrs with the aid of worse conflicts and complications that we even face on the instant, and it continuously will. Its gadget of tests and Balances is what keeps it alive and provides the liberty and rights to there being lots diverse comments on what could be achieved and how issues could be ran alive.

Very far. Americans have never engaged in a civil war. A civil war occurs when two factions fight for control over a national government. The American "Civil War" was, in actuality, a revolution.
The way our election system is structured essentially guarantees that something like that could never happen again.

Very far. Though I won't say it could never happen. I don't think the majority of Americans even care enough though about anything to actually pick up a gun and fight.

It can't be too far. I'm pretty pissed at the moment. I was thinking of aiming at Nancy Pelosi first, then Hellary. The Mexicans are next.

The sky is not falling. It won't happen. Americans can get down and dirty when we disagree, but we are all Americans.
Just ask any nonAmerican. ;-)

If we didnt have a civil war after the 2000 election was stolen by Bush, I doubt it will happen anytime soon...Personally, I was ready to fight in 2000.
