School dance....What should i wear???(pics. included...)...?

hi! im in the 10 th grade and i am indian. The dance is a classy-casual dance, this time im thinking of wearing a cute skirt ( if u have any ideas for which ones , plz tell ). and if u have any ideas for tops that match / and jewllery.
plz help!!!!

have an olive -ish skin tone....but im not dark.

1] buy a 'real' skirt - not a skort, not denim, - something you don't usually wear to school.
2] buy a top that is in a color that flatters - anything but black/white [ those colors blend in with everyone else, so how is that cute guy going to find you in the crowd? ]
3] wear shoes that are cute but comfortable enough to dance in
4] wear jewelry that doesn't jingle - one big enamel bangle,
one special ring, and earrings/necklace, depending on how you wear your hair
