Why not check out the primitive tribes like in South America or Borneo etc?They seem to be allright, as long as the weather was good and there was abundant food supplies. 5,000 years ago is sort of special time because that is when agriculture is first found outside the middle east and as far as Europe, China and so on. So if you were lucky you could have a house, still free time before you were enslaved by a King, and much of the earth was cooler then.

It would have been pretty grim. You'd be eating anything you could lay your hands on and you'd be lucky to make it to age 25. Your kids would be disposable because the infant mortality rate would have been incredibly high.
