Thompson has made some questionable draft picks (Aaron Rodgers, Justin Harrell) and has not picked up any major free agents (except for Charles Woodson, who has thus far not played up to his contract) despite the Packers' salary cap room. Sports Illustrated said that the Packers had the worst draft in the NFC, largely in part due to Thompson's policy of drafting the best player available, despite what the Packers' needs are. So is there a method to Thompson's madness or is he just an idiot?

And of course you can't forget Thompson's genius trade for Koren Robinson, whom the NFL had already said they were going to suspend for violation of the substance abuse policy, but Thompson made the trade anyways.

Ted Thompson has no clue. Justin Harrell was a really good risky pick...if he stays healthy he'll be great. But Brandon Jackson was a slow, unathletic running back at Nebraska who played one year so to draft him in the second was stupid. James Jones also only had one average year in college (against WAC teams). But what gets me is that he'll take a major risk on Justin Harrell who played 3 games as a senior but he won't take a risk on Randy Moss. Why not? Obviously the pick they used on Jones wasn't worth a potential deadly red zone target for Farve? If Moss blows up with New England than I guess it would be a good move but if you don't take the risk there is no chance of getting rewarded.

I'm just waiting for Ted to do something with all this cap space. We want to win now, while we still have a good QB.

he did a good job the 06 draft was one of the best in packer history in terms of immediate starters. he trades like i have never seen and at least looks like he knows what hes doing when it comes to drafting. when you look at the draft hes organized he knows who hes going to pick and if he can get 2 or more picks by trading down and still get that player he wont hesitate. i dont think he is really good at the free agent deal last year we did get C Wood & Koren Robinson but name one other good free agent that he singed??? so Tedd is a good GM but still needs to learn and get better at some spots he will be the next Ron Wolf if he can get better in thoughs spots.

Being a Raiders' fan, I think he's done a great job. He took Charles Woodson off our backs and you will continue to find Woodson not playing up to his contract(he's just another overrated turd). I would really have to agree that Ted is an idiot.

heavily, i'm getting the place you're going with this. i propose to p.c.. harrell once you have offensive threats which includes jarrett, bowe, meachem, olsen, etc. that could and could improve the passing activity for favre who's coming returned to win an excellent bowl! he needs help. we desire keyshawn, he have been given released. sign him to a a million 3 hundred and sixty 5 days deal, see the way it extremely works. it is all i'm asserting. p.s. we as packer followers shouldn't settle for moss for "pretend mooning" the team. **** him.
