Try massage therapy, in conjuncion with wellness therapy and talk therapy. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, and personal trainer with a degree in psychology. After a few sessions with me, you would look, feel, and think like new. I'm sorry Lexapro didn't work. I promise that as you rely on medication alone to fix you, nothing will happen. You need to take a multi-disciplinary approach. I faced my problems with physical therapy, speech and occupational therapy, massage therapy, personal training, biofeedback, medication, and just the school of hard knocks (real life). Now I have improved so much I plan to help others do the same, become new again by different methods of therapy. I'm seeing people make great changes.

Every depression starts from and is controlled by your brain. Therefore, every cure for a depression must start from the same source. It's that "cause-effect" story.
Have you ever noticed that when you are very tired/bored/down/psychically worn, etc. and you go to the gym for about an hour, you leave maybe even tired physically, but clearer and more joyful on your psychic side. That is, it's only up to you to impose your brain the necessary moves.
It's like playing chess with yourself. The only allowed winner is you.
As for food: try to replace sugar with honey, forget about fats and replace them with stewed and boiled food, eat a lot of greens, decrease salt, give up cigarettes (if any), replace pork with fish, mushrooms and soy, you know, the usual stuff.
But, as a conclusion: avoid sadness, nostalgic moments and fear.
Your daily diet must include sunshine, good thoughts, friends and love.
Where there is a will, there is a way. Enjoy life!
YOU CAN DO IT!

Good for you. You seem to be taking giant steps in the right direction. Having depression and anxiety myself I have changed my diet, and exercise a lot. Both have made extreme differences! (Heck, I used to have anxiety attacks at the mere thought of having to grocery shop anywhere other than a Wal-Mart supercenter. I don't even particularly care for Wal-Mart, I just knew where everything was in there.) Anyway I eat as close to nature as possible. No pre-packaged foods, no additives, no preservatives, organic meats and dairy (when I can find them at a reasonable price). It's not as bad as it sounds. If you do this I think you will be very pleased with the results. I have been medication free for a little over six months, and haven't had any moderate to server symptoms since! (Without meds I still have some bad days, but so far nothing that has interfered with my ability to live normally.)
Whatever you decide is the best for you, I do applaud your steps so far. Good luck to you.

One thing you definitely should do in addition to the above suggestions is reduce/eliminate any caffeine intake if you already haevn't done so.
The smell of Lavender is a great natural calming scent. You can get them in candle form or as a lotion.
When trying to fall asleep, put on a CD with nature sounds/rainshower type sounds, etc. It will "take you away".

Everyone's body chemistry is different. Go to your local Herbalist or Naturopath.. Get a hair analysis done and that will determine what you really need! A good herbal site is:

I have found a natural remedy that works great for me, but you need to be a non-alcoholic person. It is called "clay" and you must go on a vegetarian diet for increasing its benefits. Try this links:

Good luck!
