Sometimes past is a nightmare that will hunts you forever. It is up to you when you must solve and face it. There are people in this world cannot leave their past. If the person keep sticking on it, does it manifest that you don' t respect yourself?

No, you like and respect yourself but sometimes you are so full of remorse and regret: " IF ONLY ... I had tell them how much I love them before they die... I had done things differently I wouldn't be in that mess right now...
Sometimes you feel it's difficult to forget the past cause it is affecting your present in some ways. If you've got the ability to forget easily, know that you are blessed or lucky!

Phil McGraw says that the victim can't go on with his or her life is the guilty party never validates the situation. There are so many people who won't own up to their dirty deeds. They knew that they were wrong, so why not acknowledge it?
These situations are the introduction of so many relationships failing for the victims. If ones feelings aren't valued at home, why should the person feel they're feelings will outside of the house? It says that they can't count on anyone.

Post Traumatic Shock is not something one can leave or get over. No amount of self-respect will erase it. Solving and facing it requires the help of good doctors and strong meds.

I too hate it when people live the past, it makes me sick! My older sister that i've not spoken to since my mother died 11 years ago, lives in the past, & she refuses to move on & put it behind her! I would say she has NO respect for herself, she has no friends either! Great question!

It doesn't mean that you lack self-respect. I would say it is the lack of self-esteem though. You just want answers. You feel like you did something wrong and you want to change whatever that is.
