Unfortunately I think that everything is being compromised these days. And I think it will only get worse as time goes on. Religion, and I hope you mean having faith, as there is a big difference between religion and believing in God and having faith, is being watered down lots of times to suit different peoples needs and desires. This is instead of adhering to Christian (or whatever faith one is) principles, and making our lifestyle fit them. We try to make them fit our messed up, self-centered, self-serving, degenerated lifestyle. This is sad. We need to be accountable for our actions instead of justifying them.

It is losing its influence because the new generations are more independent than before, the new generations dont need something to believe in to make them feel comforted. Plus, the religions are getting older, more reality is coming into play.

yes because people are getting smarter and thinking more logically, plus with the speed of communication and rise of science its easier to disprove church lies. lets not forget they used to teach that rainbows were a sign form god reminding people of the great flood before newton proved that is was light reflecting on rain. yet there are still millions of blindfolded followers!

yes
and no
those that have faith in their chosen religions
seem to becoming more strongly united
unfortunately, this leads to great division between beliefs
yet i also see a greater leaning to 'spirituality' vs. 'religion'
responsibility, respect and kindness
are at the core of all faiths
it's just a matter of time
til all of us realize this
