Is the Orion Starshoot DSI better than a Meade DSI pro color, for the price I am getting the starshoot for 350$ used and the DSI pro color is 499! I will be using it with my Celestron C8-S-GT on equa. mount in Pittsburgh. I am fairly new at astrophotography and want a CCD since they are made for astrophotography compared to DSLRs.
If you have any imput that would be great.

Hi. Depends on what you plan to photograph. Stars, when focused properly, will not show accurate color due to the fact that all light will fall on a single pixel. If that happens to be a red pixel the star will appear red. For a nebula this is not a problem. I would look for sensitivity. You will need some filters probably to knock down the light pollution. Good luck!
