Both will live well together in a spacious tank and enough food. I have experienced snails eating Male Betta's before and have had customers tell the same.

Snails can definetly be in the same tank as a betta. They and the betta are harmless to one another. The snail will keep the place clean, leaving your only job to keep the betta fed, which will produce food for you snail friend too.

Yes. But you might want to add a little more plants to distract the betta from the snail.

Definitely. I know someone who's betta was depressed for a long time after losing his friend, the snail.

Yes.

The betta may annoy the snail from time to time but he won't kill it.

Just a note - remember that if your water is soft, the snail's shell may perish. Keep an eye on him.
