Alas I don't. The gas-buying will just get distributed over other days. For example, if someone fills up the night of the 14th instead, then the gas company just gets that profit a day earlier.

To me, the best thing we can do is commit to carpooling or taking the bus to work every day. Then it will make a substantial difference.

i dont think it will help. it would be one day... the next day everyone is gonna buy gas.. and most people will buy on the 15th. for that to do any good at all many more people would have to stop buying gas for a much greater period of time.

No, I don't think so. I do think it would help if everyone stopped buying gas from Exxon and Mobil, it has worked before, the prices did start dropping. The day before the postage goes up 2 cents, everything goes up!!

it wont help because you will just buy gas on the 16th or 17th or 18th etc.

if you want to hurt the gas companies then dont buy the gas for the next 3 months or more. other than that they will get through.

I'm happy to see that you want to try and help, but that won't work. You have to not buy gas AT ALL. And it would have to be for about a week for anything Major to happen. And it would have to be miillions of people. But thank you so much for your effort to try and help!

I've been told that one day boycotts don't help that much, but if we would just stop buying Exxon Mobil altogether it would have a bigger impact.

We'll have to see what happens. I'm sure it will be covered with the usual media blitz.

They control our government and the ''big three automakers'', they also have the CIA in their back pocket. I am sorry to inform you that the next 50 years have been planned out right before your eyes and our opinions were never considered.

I'm looking forward to the 15th so I don't have to wait in line to fill up my tank.
