I ovulated sometime around the 1st or 2nd of this month (May) and while I did have a lot of cervical mucus before and during ovulation I am now having HEAVY vaginal discharge after ovulation with my period due to start around the 16th... what can this mean? I know there could be endless possibilities but what is the most probable reason? just extra discharge?

I did have unprotected intercourse on the 2nd and while I do not believe pregnancy is the case because I think now would be too early for any type of sign could it be remaining ejaculate discharging or does that absorb in the body?

I can understand where you're coming from due to having the same problem myself. Question, are you on birth control? If you are, that plays a major key in the amount you secrete. I was appalled when I noticed how much I give out...and I thought something was wrong with me or that area. I asked my GYN and she chalked it up to the birth control. At the time, I was on the Ortho Evra patch. I recently switched to Ortho Tricyclen and it has decreased quite a bit. With all that said, if you're not on birth control....does the discharge have a smell? Is it yellow or a creme color? If it does have a smell and it clumpy, call your GYN asap. It could be an infection. But, it can always just be nothing! Sometimes our bodies act in mysterious ways! Good luck.

Heavy discharge means a probable infection. Go see a doc and get this checked out right away.

it can be remaining discharge--I do that a lot, but you can also do that a week or so before you are supposed to start a period. Nothing to worry over unless it has a color or an odor

This definitely sounds like an infection and needs to be evaluated by your dr to see what they say.
