No. The problem with lefties in the infield is that they can't throw. The thing is they have to pick up the ball, turn, thenthrow. This takes more time. Try doing this. The only positions they can play is Outfield, First Base, and Pitcher.

In an emergency, you probably could get away with a left-handed third baseman or second baseman. Both have shorter throws to first, so they might have time to catch the ball, turn and throw. A shortstop never has that kind of time. Left-handed catchers also have a problem because more hitters are right-handed and thus in the way, but obviously it can be done.

I believe Mike Squires was left-handed when he played third base for a short time (an emergency roster move) for the White Sox in the 1970's.
