oh man i could go on for hours here...

OK...

Wrestling in pre-determined, meaning that the outcome of the match is known before the match takes place. they tell each other in the ring what to do and so forth to keep the match exciting. telling each other what to do is known as "calling the spots".

anyway. when they get into the ring, they hurt each other, of course they dont hit each other in the face full force and stuff, they have to wrestle about 300 days a year, so they cant afford to lose wrestlers to a hospital every week.

landing in a wrestling ring is painful, people say its like a trampoline, i can assure you, from experience, it is not... it hurts! also, running on a n un-even surface, is also bad for your knees! (this is why so many wrestlers have knee problems)

when they hit each other with chairs etc. they hit each other with a fair bit of force, however, to avoid killing each other, when hitting from behind, they go for the stongest part of the body, the top of the back, and when hitting from the front, they go for the head, and the opponent quickly raises his hands in front of his face to block the shot, so his hands take the impact.

Where bleeding is concerned, they use small blades handed to them by the referee, this is also very dangerous, but what they do is slice a small thin cut in their forehead, to produce blood. this is called "getting ready to juice" and "juicing". blood in wrestling slang is referred to as "juice".

if theres anymore i can help you work out, just drop me an e-mail or something and id be happy to.

I think everyone would say the almost same thing. They are athletes, who train, pump iron, are physically fit to take and give the "smack down" they offer each week, however, the fights are somewhat staged. yea, now and then something gets outta hand and someone gets a really serious injury or dies, but the action is real...they are beating each other down, or doing a very convincing job of physical contact against opponents for the money....just like a "cat fight on Dynasty" as it were. or like a choreographed kung fu move in a film, only more brutal with chairs & such. However, I'd bet when they go home they put much of this hostile stuff aside and can still be friends. So, there's the answer. It is actually a bit of both! It's choreographed entertainment pulled off by trained athletes who know the risks of doing such moves.

Pay close atention and you'll see that it's ALL fake. Do you see that people always hang from the Rope during a match soo Rey Mysterio could do the 619. Why do you think all the **** players never fight?

Trust me the moves they do are real but it's all planed out. Except for the Melina suing Batista that was for real.

Hope this helps.

Wrestling is scripted. The endings are predetermined but the moves themselves are very real. Makes for gr8t entertainment though.

Depends on your definition of "fake". It's entertainment. Would you call a performance of Macbeth "fake"?

A lot of it I think is fake. No, no one can prove it, one way or the other.

It is 100% fake. I knew two professional wrestlers in Knoxville, TN. And they told me about all the tricks of the trade and that every match was scripted.

Who told you it was "real"?

They are very good actors & stunt men, On TV it looks more real, go to a live event then you can tell the diference.
