Met my wife through a mutual friend. When she walked into the room, my heart skipped a beat. Cliche I know, but it's the truth. I knew she was the one because no matter what was going on,she had my back(even if we were fighting).I knew
she would love me like no one else would.I never had that before her.Let's just say I can be very direct on how I feel about everything. She was the only one who could accept it
(maybe because she's the same way).We must be doing something right. In October it will twelve years since we got married.

This is so weird...I met him at a YSA dance. I mean, who meets their intended at a YSA dance?? Institute, BYU, Singles Ward, but a dance for crying out loud! He lived in a different city than I did and it was sort of "chance".
So I met this guy who had been in S. America on his mission (but was unimpressed with my Spanish. I have a fabulous accent. I am not just tooting my own horn. I can speak very fluently and he was unimpressed...or so it seemed...) and we went outside and shared typical Latin America stories...riding buses with chickens on the roof or having 4 people to a seat, the Latin American food on the North American digestive system, the copious amount of dancing...and we became friends.
So I came to find out that he'd been married and there were kids involved. But I knew that he needed a friend and I could be a friend...I told him to suck it up very early on and he did! He got on with a lot of stuff and about a year after we met we were married.
Ta-da!

I met my husband online playing a computer game. We started talking while we were playing and for some reason we were drawn together. Then we became online buddies, and learned we lived in two different countries, we never saw a photo of eachother. After thinking and thinking about it, I kept feeling like I had feelings for him (even though I thought it was creepy since I had no clue who was on the other side of the internet, even if he was indeed a man, maybe even a stalker or something) I told him how I felt and that I felt stupid for feeling that way. To my suprise he said he felt a connection as well. Later we met, fell in love, and now we are married and have a baby girl. I do not know how but without even seeing his face I knew I wanted to love him.
And I know he loves me for me not because of what I look like or anything, I know he is not superficial.

(I love telling this story... Maybe I'll write a book someday- Short stories about how different married couples met, famous and not-so famous.)
When I was 23, I'd just returned from serving a mission for my church. I'd just spent a year and a half with no boys, no dancing, no movies, no radio.... and I was so excited to go to the dance club!!
One Thursday evening after work, I went to the dance club as usual. I saw a guy who seemed to know what he was doing. It's always nicer to dance with a guy that knows how to dance, so I was hoping that he would ask me.. and he did. He also asked for my phone number, and I gave it to him. No, I didn't hold my breath, but he did actually call!
We started meeting at the dance club every week, talking, etc. One Sunday evening, he happened to catch me after a church activity, and we started talking... again. Problem was that the activity ended about 9pm.... I didn't get home that night till about 3 the next morning. Bad for school, good for our relationship.
During this conversation, he mentioned that he was from a certain little town, and included a quite unique description. I had met another guy from that same town who described it the exact same way... that other guy and this guy had the same first name. I asked my boyfriend if he knew this other guy, gave him the other guy's last name... SHOCK!!! They were the same guy!
**Flashback story....
I'd met my boyfriend about 6 or 7 years before at a church dance for the disabled. His mom had packed up the 3 youngest boys (one is disabled), and taken them to this dance. He had asked me to dance, and we'd spent the evening together. His mother hadn't been too happy, she felt he should not have been dancing with a "normal" girl- he was supposed to be dancing with the other girls and helping them feel pretty, desirable, etc. His response had been that he thought I was beautiful, that he was in love with me, and that he planned to marry me. His mother, of course didn't put much stock in a 16-yr-olds thoughts on that subject....
**Back to the "present"....
A couple months after that conversation on the church lawn, he proposed to me. I hadn't been expecting that question, so I gave him probably the worst answer-- "I don't know." So I spent the next 3 or 4 weeks praying about it. Knowing that God loves me and wants me to be happy, I knew that He wouldn't tell me to accept this offer if it would lead to unhappiness.
Finally, I thought about the other two times I'd had a boyfriend propose.... This time had been different. I thought, "Maybe that diffference was a yes from God?...." God witnessed to my heart that it was. I was to marry this man, and we married about 3 months later.
BTW- It was at our reception that I found out about my husband's conversation with his mom at the church dance. My mother-in-law told about it. She's more than happy to acknowledge she was wrong, though.
That was a little over 7 years ago, and we're still very much in love, very happy. We've kept God as a vital infulence in our relationship, and it works well for us.

We just happened to meet at a karaoke club. She was dragged out by one of her work colleagues and so was I.
I was drinking a beer when one of the guys I was with bought these two girls a beer on one condition they would join us. Needless to say they agreed and I started talking to one of the ladies and we hit it off and went out dancing together. That was almost 10yrs ago and well we are about to have our 8th wedding anniversary in October.
I felt tlike she was the one because she was so easy to talk to and well we just had this instant connection. I felt it was a little fate and some considence that we where brought together on a night that neither of us wanted to go out but had this pull to just go. I'm one to think that love finds you and does it when you ain't even looking for love.
God Bless and I hope you have found yours or are on the lookout.
Best Wishes in life.

My hubby and I met on the good ol' internet, lol.
Neither of us was looking for a relationship, we were just talking and goofing around. We felt a click INSTANTLY, and he gave me his phone number after talking for a few hours....I called him, and we were talking until the weeeeee hours of the morning, lol.
4 months later we finally met, and it was great!!! :-D
We went another 4 months without seeing each other....and then couldn't wait anymore than about 3 weeks between our visits. Finally I moved across the country to be with him.....he proposed....and...well.....happily ever after! haha.
And we just have amazing chemistry....I can't even really describe our relationship....he's just great!! I couldn't imagine anyone better for me! He's my best friend, and pretty much everything I need!!
When you find 'the one'.....you REALLY just know!
