I heard about that, but it will only hurt the prices. If nobody buys gas on the 15th, more people will have to buy it on the 16th. If business is slow on the 15th the gas stations will probably raise the price on the following day because they know a lot of people need to buy it now.

I love the goal here but I really don't think it will make much difference. I have seen something else going around that to have an actual impact, everyone should stop buying Exxon or Mobil gas since ExxonMobil are the ones who have posted the highest profits of any company EVER. So, if everyone stopped buying THEIR gas, then they would be forced to lower their prices as their supplies would be higher than demand. And if they lower their prices, then other places would follow because of competition. So, I say let's beat them at their own game. Don't buy Exxon or Mobil gas at all.

Ok, one more time. This plan makes NO sense. The gas has already been paid for by the local station owner, so you're only hurting HIM. The large companies will never notice.
In addition, if you fill up on the 16th, what difference does it make?
Here's some simple math. If you spend $5 on Monday and $5 on Tuesday, what's the difference between that and $0 on Monday and $10 on Tuesday?
Plus, stations might raise the prices on the 16th to compensate for any losses.
THINK, PEOPLE!!!

So, if no one buys gas May15. They'll buy gas on the 13th or 14th, or the 16th or 17th, and the stations will sell in 6 days what they' normally sell in 7 days.
What will that prove???
Want to make a statement. Pick one day a week, ( any day) and don't drive at all.
PERIOD!

Yup, I will try and do my part. But I wouldn't hold my breath for prices to plummet... Some people will buy it because they need it, otthers just to spite people.
