That's what Bush tells them. It helps keep them in line. Makes them afraid to think for themselves

If that's true, there are a lot of republicans for them to fight with when they get there. Sounds like the typical brainwashing techniques being used by some churches and politicians today. Reminds me of the judgemental, finger-pointing crap I grew up with. What a lousy, pathetic way to sway a person's vote. It should be illegal. Politics don't belong in church and church doesn't belong in government.

I was raised Catholic and I was once asked whether I would go to hell for voting for a pro-choice candidate. My response was "That is what confession is for." People will tell you that you will go to hell for all sorts of things in life. I say -- live a good life, make the well-reasoned choices, and don't hurt anybody on purpose. I truly believe that if there is a God or a Heaven, that's what will matter in the end.

Meh, if there is a hell i'm sure there a fair amount of both sides but the dems probably tip the scale a little.
