I need to know what to feed it, and if it needs water, and if I should keep it solitary or not.

They eat decaying plants and animals, they need a moist substrate, so most dirt topped off with some dead leaves would be great. Try going to a heavily wooded area and getting the decaying/rotting leaves from under the newly fallen ones. You don't need to keep it solitary.
It won't die, if you make sure to keep it's enclosure moist as well as supplying it with dead materials to eat. They can also eat spoiled carrots and potatos.

Sow Bugs like moist dark dirt with leaves and some vegetable or fruit compost. They like to hang out in groups of many. No harm in keeping them. Have lots of fun with them.

First remove any wood boards around, bricks, large stones, and such. They like nice moist dark places to hide up under. They eat wood better them termites! Then put up some bird feeders. Birds will eat them also. Or get some toads, and place some nice soft sand somewhere, toads like to bury down in it to hide.

put it in a cage with a little water and some grass and a stick or something but the best thing for it would be to put it outside.

Put it back outside on the bush and it will be fine!
