Sexual drive (libido) varies for each individual. Procreation is important for the survival of a species, and is a primal instinct. Sex itself is not special, but becomes a special experience when it is shared between people that love each other truly and deeply.

I think this day in age a lot of people have a misconstruded idea about sex and what it really is. The younger generatiosn seem to think it's a game and that it's something that is simply to make you feel good. They never stop to think of the consequence. Anyone can say they love you and think it's special, but they find out that they don't know what love is.
A lot of this has to do with the way children are introduced to the subject. Older siblings, peers, and even parents can mess up the message of what it truely means to be intimate.
Sex is only important and special to the one person you want to spend your life with. When you choose that person you know, deep in your heart, it's for real. Remember, everytime you have sex with someone, you're giving a piece of your soul away to them.

This depends a lot on your beliefs and understanding of yourself. I know that I was a lot happier marrying someone knowing that she had not a sex with multiple partners. It did a lot for us, since we didn;t have all the baggage that comes with multiple relationships. I knew I would never hear her comparing me to anyone or wondering what if she had stayed with so and so.
For me, sex is a way for my wife and I to enjoy each other, connect with each other, and just experience each other the way no other person does or has.
There are religious connotations as well, but this should be a start.

Because we are biologically programmed to do so. Procreation is THE most important thing for us as a species. With medicine we have overpopulation, but we still have the drive to ensure the survival of the species. That and the small hope that our kids might be super powered/ or become famous (rich).

It's biological and instinctive. Sex is hardwired into our brains and bodies. Some people have less sex drive than others, of course. Some people are asexual.
There are two constants in all life on earth: Sex and Death. This goes back billions of years. Is that enough of an answer for you?

Sex is just one thing. In the beginning of a relationship, it seems special and important. Later on, it is less so.

Because you dont do it with everybody only with special and important people in ur life. Its not like a hug or a kiss, its actually experiencing a special connection in many ways with the one you choose to share with. And trust that dont need to be shared with everybody

Because it is a biological imperative. The only reason to be here is to create the next generation. Evolution has dictated that sex will be important because it can be so complicated emotionally we might stop doing it...well, not likely...but we might slow down and not produce enough offspring.

It is very important to me. Without it, I would not be expecting my little one later this year. Plus, it is the closest that you can be with the one that you have chosen to spend your life with. With it, for me, comes a certain amount of trust, the person that is in your arms is at their most vunerable state. It feels really good too.
