Romeo is a cute name, Where does the Valdez Come from? I had a lot of names picked out for either a girl or a boy, when my daughter was born, she looked like one of the names, so I used it. What if you both pick out about 4 names that are acceptable and when the baby is born, see what name they look like or act like. make sure that it is not a name that a kid would hate and want to change or be embarrassed of, Some kids would not mind the Romeo name, but some would be sad when the "Romeo and Juliet" thing came up in school. Is Valdez a family name? The initials would be "RV" if that doesn't bother anyone. Good Luck! LORI

It's a decent name, Unless this Romeo Valdez is a real person. Naming him after a real person is risky. Think of all the little baby girls named "Paris" now.

Personally....I like it. I love the first name Romeo. For my last two boys my husband and I agreed that one of us would pick a first name while the other picks the middle and the we switched the option for the next. We had a few names and combinations picked out...trust me...when the baby is born, he may look to you like he fits a different name. Congrats and good luck!

You could name him Juan !
Then he can have his own coffee commercial!
Hubby, Romeo Valdez is not a cool name. Think of something else.

I'm not crazy about naming a boy Romeo. It's a name with too many negative feelings. Look at the play, punk kid who kills himself at 16- not something I would name a child after.

If you name him Romeo, he's going to live up to the name-- just be prepared for late night phone calls from 20 teeny boppers when he's like 15. Other than that, it's a cute name.

Hmm.. sounds to reminiscent of the Exxon Valdez to me.. and I would never name my son Romeo.. It would create too many expectations for him.
