This has been increasing over the last month. We have a new home, only 15 months old. Now, the kitchen faucets starts spitting water out and then goes constant. It is obvious that air is in the system, but how do I get it out, and where is it coming from. The problems seems to be getting worse.

Well there is always a possibility that air will get into the water lines in your house. You might try leaving the faucet running for a long period of time, then see what happens. Also you said you have a new house, there is a new material out called pex tubing. It is the alternet to copper tubing. Pex is made from a polyurathane material. Many companies make this product with each haveing differences. One type of pex that I have heard of has a oxygine barrier. This means that when they make the tubing, the molecules are in a 'X' formation to pervent the entrance of air. Which will pervent air bubbles. Anyways good luck

call the municipal water department and ask them if they have been working on water mains in your area. If so they may have not purged the air out of lines. Is it just in kitchen faucet? More on hot water side? If so, it may be hydrogen escaping from water heater

I was going to tell you how to reestablish the air cushion in your house system, but that's more of a water hammer situation. I found this site instead and if you read down a ways--he is rather chatty-- he talks about air in household systems. Maybe this will help:
