I need to do all of these things to my yard I have already put down the fire ant killer today. How long should I wait till I put the weed and feed down. Then how long should I wait until I lay down the grass seed?

Well, goodness! Fire ant killer down first......who wants to be walking around out there anymore than necessary? But if you are so inclined, go ahead with the weed and feed. Wait until the weeds you are killing are gone before seeding. Of course that depends on what type weed-n-feed you are using. If you are putting down something to stop crabgrass.....well then it will also prevent grass germination. If this is the case, you'd be better off waiting until the late summer to put down the grass seed.

The word "weed" in weed and feed is an ingredient that stops seeds from germinating. If you put out weed and feed you will have to wait at least 2 months to seed. If you seed first, you will have to wait until you see the grass growing before you weed and feed. I don't know where you live, but in Texas the spring and summer weeds have already germinated, so it's too late for a weed and feed anyway. You'd be better off just going with a regular lawn fertilizer. Also, I would buy a few bags of compost and put about an inch of compost on your dead patches, then put out your seed.
