http://www.nj.gov/labor/lsse/childlabor.html says minors under 16 can only do domestic labor and theatricalproductions, right? refer to 34:2-21.2. it dosent even say how long onecanwork in a theatrical production. ppl under 16 work, no? what about internships? what abou part time? where can i get moreinfo, this is unclear to me. i watn to wark at least part time andim under 16 doing clericalwork or some work in a theatre with $ and i want a clerical job thats an internship

There are laws, then there are laws. The Feds say one thing; each state something else. Both of my sons started at McDonald's, 1 was 14, the older boy was 15. Before that, they mowed lawns, shoveled snow, sold subscriptions, crafts, etc. Ask around. Check school counselor. Check the State employment (Human Resources?) office. Ask friends and relatives.
