Glamorous? not necessarily but it would be desirable for more to have good social etiquette and class.

I don't think it has changed that much.
The things you remember about Marilyn Monroe and Lana Turner are the pictures of them in their gorgeous ball gowns, made up beautifully, looking like they're going to beautiful parties.
But honesly, we don't have pics of Marilyn Monroe taking a trip to the local diner or Lana Turner going to the gym.
A lot of celebrities today are also about glamour- think oscars, big public events.
Marilyn and Lana were famous for their glamorous lifestyles, but just think- wonder what the stars of our generation are going to be remembered for!

Kate Beckinsale is more beautiful than either of those two. In my opinion anyway. And Evangeline Lilley is pretty hot too.
