Stay in? Support the troops? Get Out? Leave the whole country in shambles?

I did not vote for this man. To me, it is an insolvable problem created by greed for oil. Got any ideas?

Bomb Iraq with ham. Muslims hate pork, they all would leave.

It can NEVER improve as long as our presence is there. The result will be the same whether we leave today or five years from now, only more lives will be lost and more money wasted.

We had no business being there in the first place. This was a pre-ordained war well before 9/11 and is it was about revenge, plain and simple. The facts speak for themselves.

But anyway, because of a bonehead decision we are there and the only and best possible solution is to leave and let them straighten this out on their own.

Further, all of our intelligence agencies have said this occupation is only creating more terrorists. Defeat is STAYING there, victory is owning up to your own mistakes.

Let me make something clear now, I am a Republican through and through.

Now...

1) The people in Iraq, and al-Quada, ARE going to start WORLD WAR III! Whether we are there or not, the third World War is going to being. It is better that we are there and prepared to fight these losers right from the get-go.

2) We are increasing US presence in the Middle East. At this time of insurgency, that is crucial.

3) Here we go (Attack of the Liberals) We need the oil. Whether this is moral or not, we take what we can get our hands on.

4) For God's sake, we are not losing. We are the American Army. We WILL win this war against those savages.

5) These "people" caused acts of terrorism on our country. Let's make them pay!

6) Have you seen another act of terrorism on the US since September 11, 2001? You want this to continue?

Support the Troops!

Well, I did not agree with going into Iraq but we are there now, so we have to do all that we can to stabilize the country before we eventually leave. We need to start turning over more responsibility to the Iraqi's, even if we do not agree with whatever faction eventually takes charge.

I do not believe we will leave it with a stable democracy. as the problems we are witnessing now stem from ancient disagreements that are so deeply rooted in their culture and beliefs. Too bad our leaders didn't bone up on their history before invading a nation based on faulty intelligence.

Support for the troops is a given. They are soldiers, not policy makers.

go ahead and keep on thinking this was all about oil as you remember that over 30 countries provide oil to the world! It is a mess in Iraq but the USA has never extended a hand to help others less fortunate and then pulled that hand back in retreat...I say we give it our best shot! Along w/ dropping some major bombs on insurgent strongholds!

I believe it is very solvable and was not created for greed of oil. But I think this BS the Democrats are pulling is only creating a bigger mess. If they got behind this effort as they said they were in the beginning we would not have the **** we have today. They are only prolonging this action. There needs to be general public agreement that we will be there for the duration. The behind the scenes actual plan should identify goals and benchmarks for both sides that are agreed upon. This however should not be general knowledge. This would be a win/win, then let the military fight this battle as they know how to do.

Initiate a general election in Iraq with only one issue:

Please choose one:

1. Would you support a unified government, run by Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds?

or

2. Do you want U.S. intervention and occupation for the next 10 years?

I guarantee there will be many blue thumbs voting for #1.

No one knows, for sure.
I was against going after Saddam.
BECAUSE I KNEW THE DEMOCRATS WOULD BETRAY US AND SUPPORT OUR ENEMIES.
They always do.
(I embarrassed for you, to say this but: how could anyone be so un-informed and ignorant to believe it is about oil???????)
We will not get a single drop of free oil from Iraq, or anywhere else.
We GIVE.
We don't TAKE.
You are a victim of a Terrorist/Democrat Hoax.

Ideas that would work: ruthless conquest or outright nuclear genocide or making Islam the state religion of the US via a constitutional amendment.

Ideas that would be morally acceptable: a diplomatically brokered peace acceptable to all sides.

Ideas that would both work, and be morally acceptable: none.

Sorry.
