Please check with your local city or community outreach agencies which do provide rent subsidies. If you call the city hall or the ward office, they could refer you to the correct agency.
If not, you could check with your chapter of the Red Cross or any of the community churches, temples, mosques or synagogues.

Check your phone book in the yellow pages. Look under housing. Low income housing in this section has different types of programs to help people on fixed incomes.
