Cingular Wireless has FAIR service across the US but because of their strict GSM only access they have very few other carriers to roam on which turns into poor service. Also, a call with full bars sounds as good as a 1 bar call with sprint...not a good call! They tend to only worry about major areas and intersections and interstates and highways but do go off of the interstates a little more than Sprint. Cingular has a very poor customer service department among one of the worst in the country...maybe even the world!! JD powers rated them with a 0 star for customer service compared to Sprints 3 star rating....Cingular is in the process of building this new network...but when they turn it on at the end of this year it will have even less coverage than they do now!!! Also, if you've ever noticed at&t (aka cingular) changes their name frequently..which results in a lot of confusion...also, current cingular wireless customers are being forced to upgrade to keep their service!!! If you dont they will kick you off their network...In my opinion you made a bad choice...in both the carriers you've had. Go to Verizon wireless if your still in your Cingualar's trial period...verizon wireless will please you...they have a test drive promotion...if you don't think verizon has been the best carrier you've had-return the phone, disconnect service and port your number to another carrier and verizon will pay for all voice services...u only pay for what you requested additionally (text messaging, insurance, etc)...also the early termination fee is waved...you also have 90 days to come back and they'll give you the same plan...also Verizon offers and unsurpassed network that provides the Nations Most Reliable Wireless Service...
1. Fewer Dropped Calls
2. Your call will connect
3. We're so confident you wont drop a call that if your call does drop call the person back within 5 minutes and we'll pay for both calls...automatically...
4. Industry leading Cusomer Service
5. 24 hour tech support
6. Very reliable data service
7. Fair priced plans
Thats only the top 7!!

Check your coverage where you use the phone the most by going to their site and putting in the address.

The brighter the orange on where you are using the phone the better the coverage.
