I don't know why other americans are mad about eurovision. I liked watching the 2006 eurovision, although I was dissapointed with the talent in 2007. Lordi, Silvia Night, Texas Lightning and Sibel Tüzün were my favorites from last year. The only acts I like from this year are DQ and The Ark. Those eastern european countries were quite biased this year. And Serbia did not impress me at all. WTF is up with the UK, one crap act after the other, get the spice girls on there damnit!

Well, maybe because alot of countries are making money off of our country? Could it be that your pushing other counties manufacturers onto the American public, might just be helping to make our economy go down. It would be different if we were in the black, but when your talking about a country who's going bankrupt because the land of oppurtunity is working only for everyone outside the country, you are getting into argumentative territory. We need to learn to take care of ourselves before everyone eles, or we are going to lose more than just our economy.

I am American, I am Not mad. I am a Christian too and I am not mean or judgmental either. However I do think us Americans do think quite alot of ourselves and everything about our Country, why shouldn't we be proud of our Country?
Of Course we have our own problems and all, were not perfect or anything. . We must be a bit special or why do so many people want to come here?

While I can't speak for them, nor can I really apologize for others' comments or behavior, I can say this:
living in the states you see this for everything, and you're faced with one of 2 expectations. Either you stand up and say how narrow-minded everyone's being (and get labeled and picked on for a LONG time) or you just go with everybody else's way of thinking because it's considered "patriotic"

Not ALL the Americans are like this. Unfortunately, the loudest of our nationality are usually the most ignorant.

Painting with a pretty broad brush, aren't we?

I'm not familiar with Eurovision, but if my neighbors across the pond think it's great, more power to them.

Liking my country is not the same as condescending to those of others.

Because many Americans are cocky little brats who care for nothing but themselves. A largely lazy society that is quite self-centered. But don't think we are all that way, for a mass majority would agree with me. Like all counties we have those stupid hicks who we are not proud of and we wish would just shut there mouths and get a life. But please don't put us all in that category, because many of us are very different. Though I'm proud to be an American, I'm often not proud of what comes out of it...

I am american and I don't feel that way, I just never heard of it before, I thought it was something like American Idol, which I don't watch and see questions about it all the time too, I totally dig the UK, my dad and his family all came here from there.

First let me start by saying that I have no clue as to what a eurovision is, and second... why would you expect people from a country with a rich history of saving everyone Else's @ss would not be proud of our country? I guess to all of you who do not like America or it's people... stay out.... stay where you are born... we really don't need that attitude here anyway.
