Even as recently as ten years ago, we used to do so well in this contest. Now its embarassing to be English!

I'm not an amazing singer but even i could get more points than Scooch, Daz sampson, Jamelia & Jemini with their total points all together!

Face it, we're never going to win the ESC again as we have no friends in Europe, but I think we may have done a little better if Cyndi had gone through from the National contest instead of Scooch.
Her song wasn't embarrassing.

Maybe they will listen to us next time and ACTUALLY let us choose!
Who voted for Scooch? I don't think the general public did! We deserve to lose soooo embarrassing!
( I sing better in the shower and that is saying something! lalalal!)
They can now certainly 'Scooch' off!

I wasn't cringing! it made me mad as hell that for another year its voted on politics and nothing else! if America were in Eurovision would they do as badly as we did! I guess so!! nothing to do with how bad or good the songs are...But Never be embarrased to be English!!!!

Wogan was cringing for the whole thing, and not just the British entry.

Between the singing and the voting, you could hear his affability being stretched to the limit.

"It's been a wonderful evening.
Not musically, of course..."
Terry Wogan.
(sorry, I've used that quote on several answers. It just summed up what I saw of the programme.)

It is quite cringe-worthy, but you have now set yourself a task and we all have the proof! will we be seeing you in the next Eurovision? or is it just talk?
