Some people down right hated what Dr. Bill Cosby said at his speech for Brown vs. Board of Education. He said the truth, and it applies to all races not just to black people.

Why do some people get angry when a knuckle of truth clips them on their chin of ignorance?

Its not that people dont want to know the truth its that people have their pride. And pride wont allow them to allow someone else to tell them how to raise their children.

Wow...

Well, I have to say that I have seen this again and again, from all races, when I used to practice Labor and Delivery nursing (still licensed, but now in business) in an inner city hospital.

I always wondered why I worked so hard while others could just sit around, have babies, and talk about how their life is miserable.

I can say, though, that when you grow up in an environment that gives you a sense of not being good enough yet still being entitled is will continue to perpetuate this behavior.

I feel taken advantage of, they feel disadvantaged...the cycle continues.

Too many people have the idea of "my child, right or wrong". They run interference for little Johnny or Sally and never make their children accept that there are consequences in life.
Thus Johnny or Sally end up acting like little monsters and getting away with it. They grow up with no respect and believing they have no personal responsibility for their actions.
They end up in prison or in the gutter, they grow up with a chip on their shoulder and believe that the world owes them. Then Mommy and/ or Daddy wonder why their baby is such a miserable excuse for a person. And why society is "picking on them", when it is their upbringing or lack thereof that is the root cause of the problems.

A lot of people don't want to know the truth. They just want to hear what makes them comfortable in their own little world.
