Yes. Too bad you don't.
I mean, you do have a glimpse of it, it does have to do with history, but it also has to do with other factors. Other parts of the world were colonized, for instance, other parts of the world have valuable resources that were exploited by colonial power and are still thier main export. But, not all of them have a seething, uncompromising, homocidal hatred for the entire western world.
Take India, for example. The Hindu Indians were colonized by the British, they resented it, they rebelled, using civil disobedience and non-violent protest, won thier freedom, and now have relatively good relations with the west.
Or Tibet. Tibet is still controlled by China, wants it's autonomy back very much, but doesn't hate the Chinese enough to use terrorist tactics against them (even though the Communist Chinese make themselves pretty easy to hate).
Or Panama. Panama has a vital strategic resource - the Panama Canal - it's been under the thumb of the US for over a century, and even endured military intervention from the US not so long ago - yet there isn't a Panamanian Liberation Organization making daily suicide bombing attacks against Americans in Panama.
History, and even current events, are full of injustice and international politics is nothing but other countries interfereing in eachother's intenal affairs. Yet, not everyone in the world hates everyone else. It's the Muslims who divide the world into the Ummah and Dar al-harb, and are directed to hate the latter.

They dont just hate the west. They hate India, Russia, Israel (not really part of the West), and even kill each other on a daily basis. Radical Islamofacists, like KKK, Neo-Nazis, or any other such group, is a bunch of hateful people who got together and got each other worked up enough to kill people they hate. They hate anything that they do not believe in, even if its just another branch of Islam.

A lot of the times we are asked for help! Kuwait and Saudi Arabia asked for us to intervene in the first Gulf War! Also, if the damned hippie environmentalists would shut up and let us drill offshore and in Alaska, we wouldn't need to rely on foreign oil!
You muslim sypathizer/apologists make me sick! Why don't you just go live over there under sharia law and see how much you miss the all the freedoms you have here!

Do you really believe it's that simple and that it is always in our best interest to do so? And what about those times we were asked for help? And now that the terrorists have made the decision to take the world over and not just America what would be your plan to hold them in check or at least from attacking us?

Yes, because the west they see on their TV screens are the godless liberal blue states. You think they're going to let their daughters strut around and act like Paris Hilton? I'd be completely nauseated too.

Or they want the ability to rule us. They wan to apply their religious laws to us. They have done this for hundreds of years.
The big difference now is that they now have useful idiots in the west to act as their apologists.
If it is any comfort to you; you can rest easy knowing that yours will be the first throat that they cut. They actually have respect for Former Marine Christan types like me.
Good luck under Shariah law!!!!!!

Kelly, one of the ways our government takes care of our people is to attempt to keep an open market in the oil industry.
Apparently, you are either too young to remember or have forgotten OPEC and the way our oil supply was constantly jeopardized.
This is why our President has continually stated that we must decrease our dependence on foreign oil.
There is no question this war involves oil. But not in the way some Liberals want to frame the issue. We are not trying to control Iraq's oil. We are trying to keep radical Islamic enemies of the US from controlling it.

Sorry, Ma'am, but you're dead wrong. They attacked US, remember? 9/11, USS Cole in Yemen, Somalia (we were there on a peace keeping mission, and not even allowed to defend ourselves, Clinton told our soldiers not to fire back), our embassy in Africa, attacked by terrorists, murdering Americans, do you want me to name anymore? These Islamic countries you talk about have been controlling our gas prices. We pay near $3 and 50 cents a gallon. You like that? You think they should have more freedom than your people? Americans? You think Islamic countries have the right to murder innocent people from their countries, and others? I guess you forgot about the Gulf War, too. Where Iraqi soldiers, were murdering, raping and torturing innocent men, women, and children under Saddam Hussein's reign? Oh, but that's okay with you, right? Give me a break, woman!
NO!!!!!!!! IT ISN'T OKAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS I don't give a f whether they like us or not. I don't want them to like us, because they won't like anyone who isn't like them, and I DON"T WANT to be like them! Rape, and murder isn't okay.
