Most likely will require a new motherboard. Those things are almost impossible to fix and not many will take a crack at it. I know, i've done several. Hope your still under warrenty.

I'm not sure if it's the same case, but the same thing happened to my Toshiba laptop. That jack is connected, in most to almost all devices, directly to the motherboard. And there is no easy way to fix it, unless you're a tech genius. The entire motherboard has to be replaced, and that cost is a ballark figure of $400. It's about $270 for a new motherboard, plus replacement costs, though I know Bestbuy can do exactly that. I hope this helps.

Same happened to mine... they get too hot and the jack becomes very weak.
I snipped off the end and stripped the wires back and soldered it back together. If you don't have a solder you could use insulating tape.
When you have fixed it tuck a bit of the cable under the laptop so that it doesn't get 'stressed' and break again.
PLEASE remember to switch off the power before you touch the wires and make sure you get them the right way round when you reconnect them... it will be obvious which wire goes where when you strip the wires. Mail me if you need help.

I think that the power jack is connected to the motherboard,
and it will probably need a new motherboard. I don't think anyone would bother trying to solder a new one to the motherboard it takes time and that means expence.
If your laptop is new and under gaurantee take it back to the supplier and have it replaced or mended by them. Do not try soldering it on yourself unless you have the correct soldering iron you can realy cause some damage

if you have a warrenty call the manufacturer
if not take it to a local repair shop
unless you are sure of what you are doing don't try to fix it your self.
