No - a pallbearer is simply someone who carries the coffin of the deceased.

Would a female be strong enough? Bodies are heavy. And much heavier when in a metal coffin.

I don't think there'd be a distinction in the term used to describe it.

Women aren't strong enough to be pallbearers. They would drop the coffin and the body would flop out.

The women I have seen named as pallbearers are usually deemed "honorary pallbearers".
They are not called pallbearesses.
