We had one heck of a lightening & thunder storm last night. No way would you catch me taking a chance on touching those metal knobs, soaking wet in a shower or tub.~~~Jill

Think about it. Lightning strikes the ground (or leaves the ground), water pipes run through the ground, they are metal, they lead up to your metal tub, handles, water stream pouring on you, you are effectively part of the Ground, the electricity could go through you. Not advisable, stay away from windows too. If you even hear thunder way in the distance, you are in danger of being struck by lightning, stay off the corded phone too, a lighting strike can follow along the wires, and into you home, if you're on the phone, you could get zapped ! don't play with lightning, it's mother nature at her worst, and she's NOT in a good mood.

Well I don't know that you would get hurt, but there is always a chance. You can get shocked by talking on a land-line phone during a storm....we had a phone's insides melted by this a while back (scary) , thankfully no one was hurt.
We also had lightning hit so close to our house that my phone and a game that was on it turned on (Phone rang and the game started up...making a lot of noise) so I would say stay away from showers and baths...and the land-line phone...during a storm that is producing lightning!

As long as you're not outside it should be fine. Even if lightning struck your house it would travel straight to the ground and harm no one. The only real danger is that the lights would go out while you were in the shower.

I don't think there is any harm in it but I wouldn't recommend it either.
