Nothing. He was mayor and an assemblyman because I grew up in a Democratic-controlled town. Everybody was a registered Democrat so he won every time, he has been in office since I was a child. He is now a congressman and his friend is mayor and many of his allies are commissioners. This is what happens when a party controls a whole town.

Not a damn thing. They could care less about public education because their kids are in private schools. Public roads and freeways? They don't drive them everyday.. come rain or shine or flooded streets. Health care... no problem, they are covered for life. Immigration? All they know is some lawn crew shows up at their three or four story house. The accountant writes the check. The only time I see someone in the US Congress is when they are having a photo op in some poor African nation. They totally disgust me... the whole lot of them. Too bad we are forced to elect these jerks with silver spoons in their mouths. They have absolutely no idea what main stream America does every day just to put bread on the dinner table.

Well, uh, I did write a letter saying the needs of politics should take a back seat to the needs of the country.
I did get a single spaced 4 page letter that said a lot, but once you get through the BS it said absolutely nothing.

Well I live in Central California, richest Farmland in America. We feed about 20% of America.
So he (Devin Nunes, Republican with the backing of Democrats in surrounding areas) secured favorable water rights that Los Angeles and San Fransisco had tried to usurp.
Gotta water the, corn, cotton, cows, olives, beef, chicken, veggie and fruit to eat you know !!!

Gosh, from the rest of the answers you got, I feel very greatful for my Congressman. Of corse we don't just sit around and hollar insults as it looks like some of you do. We actually take responsibility for ourselves and present solutions, not expecting him to solve all our problems for us. But I guess we are a little different her. Oh, and for some wierd reason we work WITH Democrats, not against them. Get on with your misery if you must, here we'll just keep chuggin' along.

I wonder what % of folks who complain about the Government, could even name their congressman. That should be a rule on your question.

He's about to be indicted for political corruption in the Jack Abramoff scandal. John Doolittle's Virginia home was raided by the FBI and he had the moxie to cry that his home was raided because the Justice Department wanted to show it was tough on Republican congressmen too.

He's voted for surrender in Iraq and has generally been a pain. I wish I didn't have to change districts every two years.

Signed,
A victim of crybaby Democrats who couldn't handle the people's representatives drawing the Texas districts.
