It's their song (I think), but I don't think it sounds like any other song. (None that I've heard of anyway.)

All Eurovision entries are supposed to be original songs, but Scooch's effort is a parody of all the rubbish cheesy-pop entries that have been in the contest over the years.

the rationalization they're cheesy is by the fact a majority of the different vote casting international places do no longer understand the words/lyrics. The music must be catchy - no longer too creative, and easily commercial. It has to charm to all age communities. does not bypass away lots does it? i think of that this years get admission to - a minimum of in comparison with the previous few years, is greater effective. think of we could get off the beginning up line. the whole ingredient is a policial vote besides. If between the Scandinavian international places placed up a parrot reciting Baa Baa Black Sheep it would get actual marks from a minimum of four international places. individually, I grab a pair of cans and chill out and snigger on the female impersonators, actual hats, and of direction the celeb of the practice - the Irish compere who can infrequently talk for guffawing on the whole stupid set-up. that's a snigger. no longer something to do with music.

Swedish singer Pandora has claimed that the UK entry is an exact copy of her entry in 1999 called "No Regrets".
I have heard her song and I have to admit that I see her point...

It just sounds familiar becaues it sounds like so many other UK entries. Looks familiar too, for the same reason. It seems UK have found a formula that doesn't work, and are sticking to it!
It's actually embarrassing, isn't it? I certainly don't want them flying the bloody flag for me!

I am not an expert in any field of music, but the UK's song impressed me as number 4 at least.

Yes. There is a Swedish song written by a female singer that was recorded in 1997 that is a replica.

it was one of britain's worst, i think there is a vicious element who vote for the worst song for europe so that it will do badly. at the time i placed it 6th and put the lovely girl 1st, having now seen the contest the french song was definetly bad.

I've heard a bit of it - doesn't sound like a song at all, let alone anything I've heard, but then, I'm a boring old wotsit!
