Number one the US gave nothing back, that was a UN decision. That land also was occupied by European nations at the time and was nat an actual country, there was never a nation called Palestine. Do I think it was arrogant of the UN simply to take it? Yes. It is done and is nothing like the US conquering much of North America.

The first Jew in Israel did not just show up in 1948. The Jews have been in Israel since the time of Mose and I am not making this Biblical except for the sake of history. The History Channel had a very informative documentary on the History and the legitimate claim to Israel going back thousands of years. The Arabs are doing excavations at the Dome of the Rock. The Archaeologist examining trailings have found relics going back thousands of years that show the Jews were there before the Arabs took the land from them.

First of all, read your history about Israel. The US didn't GIVE anything to the Jews.
On the 29th November, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish State in Eretz-Israel; the General Assembly required the inhabitants of Eretz-Israel to take such steps as were necessary on their part for the implementation of that resolution. This recognition by the United Nations of the right of the Jewish people to establish their State is irrevocable.
Don't get me started about "Palestinians" None of the other Arab countries wanted them in the past. That cause is all about wiping Israel off the map.
Your anti semitism also makes me sick. And your anti American bigotry is disgusting.
I know you're being facetious, we're not going to get more PC, or give the land that is the US back to the Native Americans, or to the Mexicans, or to anybody.
I don't believe in being an apologist, and I don't believe in political correctness, multiculturalism, or any of the crap like, "we're all citizens of the earth, let's all just get along".
One other thing, all the land that is Israel, was purchased.

The declaration of independence of the State of Israel officially occurred on May 14, 1948.
The new country was created within what had been the British Mandate of Palestine by the United Nations.
This is often referred to as the Third Jewish Commonwealth, the prior two referring to the incarnation of the first Jewish state tracing back to the destruction of Solomon's Temple in 586 BCE.
So, you might want to consider that small portion of history that predates even Christianity before you consider claims by the former residents of a British territory that lasted all of 28 years.

It was actually Brittain that gave the Mandate of Palestine over to Israel. The idea was to create a 'homeland' for Jews in the wake of the horrors of the Holocaust - though many like to justify it as being ancient hebrew land. Brittain had the Mandate of Palestine because the Ottoman Empire, which has ruled over that region for centuries, lost WWI and disintegrated (Turkey is what's left of it).
Native Americans already have tribal homelands in the US - they're called 'reservations,' and they're no great shakes, even if you put in gambling, but it's not like Israel has a lovely climate and abundant natural resources, either...
...and you don't see a lot of terrorism between Native Americans and other American citizens, either.

I appreciate your question, and find it neither Anti-semitic or Anti-American. I am not an historian, but, although it was not the U.S. that created Israel, it has been the U.S., as a member of the General Assembly of the U.N. who has protected Israel from countless sanctions in that body. We do so for a number of reasons, not the least of which is our being a largely Christian nation, where many people believe that the Jews are the "chosen people of God." (Claptrap, they wrote the Old Testament). Also, there is a very powerful "Jewish lobby" in this country.
Our behavior in and toward the Middle East is a root cause of terrorism.

The ignorance is in your misreporting of the facts. *NO ONE* was moved out because of the Jews. They left voluntarily at the urging of all the other Arab nations surrounding Israel. The other nations told them that they were on a Jihad and would kill anyone, everything that they found in the land. Well guess what? The Israelis kicked Arab butt. The Palestinians were refugees, but none of the Arab countries would assimilate them.... Learn some history before you go off on a rant

Yes. There's isnt enough we could do for them to make up for what we have done to the Indians. It's a wonder any of them survived it. How can you compare what the US did to the Indians to Israel? The question sounds racist. Such things should not be flung about so loosely. Please study up on how the US tried to exterminate the Indians and still leave much to be desired in current policies and letting them govern their own land. Democrats haven't helped them either.

Whats good for the Jews should be good enough for the American Indians, Right?
The answer is "NO". Israel is the key to ALL mankind. The Jews are NOT better than anyone else, nor are they loved by God anymore than any other TRUE Christian. God has a purpose for Israel and the Jews.
Remember, the path to God the father is through his son Jesus Christ our savior.

That's an interesting question! One reason why the Jews were allowed to settle in Palestine during the early part of the 20th century is because the British had a mandate in Palestine after World War I and the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire, and through the Balfour Declaration, the British granted the Jews the right to settle in Palestine. In 1948, the British left and the state of Israel was established. I sort of have mixed feelings about it, though. I know that one reason why a lot of Muslims objected to the Jewish settlement in that area is because they didn't want any further Westernization brought in, because, thanks to their experiences with European colonists, they thought that Westernization only brought trouble. That being said, though, Israel prospered, thanks to the hard work of its citizens and US money. There are many Israelis who were born in Israel and have lived there their entire lives, so I don't exactly think it would be right to deny them their right to live there, either. What a mess, indeed!
