A few months ago the doctor put me on this For Fibromyalgia, and within one day I found my heart racing. I tried telling the doctor that it was making me nervous, I was constantly hungry, and causing a heart problem. He didn't want to hear it, so I stopped the medication. I'm so glad I did I have felt much better without it. I'd rather feel my normal discomfort from Fibromyalgia then go through the weird feelings Prednisone gave me.

I am waking up in the middle of the night with 180 beats per minute and high blood pressure, I am ahealth nut my entire life and in great shape untill this. There is no doubt this has caused my issue. I have been rushed to the hospital twice in 2 weeks. I am having test done, but the damage is done. Anyone else have this exsperince with these two drugs combined?

I would let your doctor know about that side effect. There is a great web site with massive amounts of medical info. Go to WebMD.com and once there, type in prednisone , and hit the search button. You will get more than enough information, which will help in your decision of what to do next.

I had hives for about two weeks and the dr. put me on it also. I didn't notice anything heart related, however I would definitely check the side effects and call your dr. if you think something is not right.
