It's not as if they are depriving you anything. They don't get housing benefit or jobseekers allowance. They get treated like crap and work for the lowest wages, and yet people still despise them. Where exactly is the logic behind this?

Ok i posted this question in the UK y/a not the US, but the level of hatred has far surpassed my imagination, you guys are ridiculous.
How can you claim all illegal immigrant are criminals without no statistics to back it up, and why would that be the case when they know that breaking the law will just lead to deportation.

You guys are disgusting, and never happy unless your hating someone, the way you talk about these people is disgraceful.
Just remember in God's eyes we are all equal and i doubt he's impressed at what he's seeing right now.
You sincerely need guidance and help.

This type of question just shows how bitter and twisted Americans are. And thats why they too in turn are hated by everyone. Yahoo should make sure there is a better wall between the sites so we dont have to deal with their imbecilic morony.

I don't know that they're hated, but I do know why they're not accepted, and why people have a problem with them.
1. They are breaking the law. What part of Illegal don't you understand?
2. They drive down property values, increase crime rates, cripple school districts, bankrupt medical facilities, raise everyone else's insurance rates, and exploit the welfare system. That's not racism, that's just arithmatic. Know the difference.
3. They depress the going wage rates for everyone else, by doing the work for less. The argument that they do the work no one else wants is nonsense. If the work needs to be done, someone will get paid to do it.
4. They are terrible drivers. This endangers everyone else around them. They drive mechanically unsafe vehicles, usually drunk and overcrowded. Again, check with your insurance company or police department about who's wrapping their car around a tree at 3:00am.
5. On a most basic level, Illegal immigrants, by willfully breaking the law to be here in the first place, and then flaunting their presence after the fact, show an utter contempt for the sovereignty of the very country they demand the right to live in. Do you understand how insulting and offensive that attitude is to all those who have come into this country legally?
6. How do you reconcile the right of someone to break the law and claim the same rights that someone else has earned legally? Do you respect the burgular who breaks into your house...or do you despise them?
7. The quality of their living conditions is relative. Although bad, my guess is it's still alot better than where they came from. If they get treated like crap here (your words), why do you suppose they still come?
8. No one has a problem with legal immigration, it's what this country has always run on. But a respect for law, honesty, and culture is also necessary. People used to come to this country to become Americans, Illegals don't do it that way.
9. If you want to live in this country, welcome, but do it legally. Don't go sneaking in the back door in the middle of the night. Come in through the front door, in broad daylight, with your head held high, and tell them you want to be an American. It's OK, we've been doing it this way for years. We'll leave the light on for you.

By the way everything I say here goes for any illegal alien in any country, and especially Britian! If you don't want people to post answers to you childish immature lame question then don't ask! Piss off yourself. This has nothing to do with God, so don't bring him into this. Last I checked your country was a nation of laws too. Calling illegals criminals is CORRECT. If you do something illegal, you're actions are criminal.
Do you drive a car? Do you obey the laws? Do you have a license? Insurance?
Guess what, this is just one small thing that makes me mad, but it's a big one.
ILLEGALS DON'T DO ANY OF THOSE THINGS.
When police pull over a car with suspected illegals, in some states, they can't even ask for proof of being legally here! They drive, don't have insurance, don't register they're cars, don't have a license, and I've read that the police don't do anything about it most of the time, because it's futile! Fill up the jail with illegal lawbreakers, sentence them in court, and nothing happens. No illegal will pay those fines, or pay for the accidents they cause, or pay for the hospital bill if they need treatment.
Now that's just one small example. Yes, the US is an amazing country, and it is a country of LAWS. Break the law there's a consequence. For illegals, there is not. I obey the laws, I expect others to obey the law, and you should too.
You also don't realize that illegal aliens working here drive down wages. That's right, DOWN.
Come to this country legally, you're welcome, have a good life, make lots of money and be happy. Practice your own religion, obey the laws, and become a part of the American Dream.
Come here illegally, break the laws, and you should be sent back to where you came from. End of story.
I don't hate illegals, I just want them deported, and a wall built, and to come here LEGALLY.
Same goes for your country. I'm hoping that there's more of your fellow citizens that have more common sense and more brains than you do.

Actually that is not altogether true. It is true they don;t get the benfits you mention but they do get other benefits like healthcare which is very expensive, they also get sosial serivces. Social services are obliged to house the homeless. It is this kind of policy that takes valuable resources, ane I am not jsut talking about money, but resources, they take that away from the citizens of the country. People who were born here whose ancestors have fought and died for the country and forged the rights that the citizens have. I think a much better idea is for those illegals to stay in their own country and build it the way we have build ours with blood sweat and tears. If you think of it, it is rally their duty to do so. You don't say oh I was born into a poor family so I am jsut going to go and live with Prince Andrew as he has more resources and money. No you stay and support and build your family.

Hate is the wrong word. Some immigrants as you say are treated badly , but you seriously dont think they all are do you ? Some UK residents are on the lowest wage , thats why we have it. Think of it as people moving into your territory (house) . How would you feel if someone did this ? Peed off i should think.

I don't know if everyone is hating the illegal aliens but they are here ILLEGALLY. Our laws have to mean something. If they can't start out obeying our laws how can we expect them to follow the law once they are here? Experience is that they expect us to speak their language to them and REFUSE to learn English. Because they often need medical care they go to county hospitals and that is paid for with our taxes. They try to SHOVE THEIR culture down our throats rather than adapt to ours. Most countries would not tolerate this crap from anyone. When they start coming legally, learn English and accept and adapt our culture I believe they will be more accepted by those of us who were born here.

I don't hate illegals. Illegal immigrants are eligible to use our health care system, they can go to emergency room, then not pay the bill with no effect on them. They can get food stamps, welfare checks if they have children and more. They do not try to assimilate into the US culture but some try to force their culture and language on us.
*** I guess you got your countries mixed up because this question showed up here in the US. You are one of those people that are confused by the word "illegal", if you are doing something illegal then you are a criminal.
Oh, and I love the piss off comment. It encourages a healthy debate, glad to see that you are so open minded.

I'm a high school student living in southern California, so I see this "hatred" all the time and a lot of tension.
I have to say that I dislike illegal immigrants for their blatant disregard for our culture. I can't hate them. They are humans too!
The people who hate them seem to know nothing of their situation. Mexico isn't the ideal place to live. If your family was suffering and there was a prosperous nation right next to yours, what would you do?
I wish the hate and uneducated blames would stop. It doesn't achieve anything.
If there is anyone to blame it is the government that the illegal immigrants originally lived under since they can't supply for the people's needs.

Obviously you are ignorant about how the real world works. When people will work for next to nothing or tolerate substandard conditions it puts pressure on competing companies to find ways to make up loss revenue due to this unfair labor practice from other companies. So where do you think they make up this difference? Do you really think business owners and ceo's will take a pay cut. They start cutting benefits first, like health care, then they start laying off after that. illegal immigrants hurt every hard working American who punches a time clock. Think about it.

I don't hate them. I'm pretty neutral on illegal immigration, although lately I've been leaning toward being against it. The bottom line is that they ARE all criminals. That's harsh, but it's the truth. I'm not looking forward to a "Mexican Invasion." But I still can't hate the individuals for wanting a better life.

I'm not ure where you are from but there is no such thing as "job seeker allowance in the US. As far as why they are not liked, you answered it. They work for far lower than legal wages and definitely far less than what an American would accept thus depriving those who need the lower end jobs the opportunity to work. Those folks that are legally here might require some type of government assistance due to this.
