Overall stats wise it would have to be Babe Ruth.
He won over 100 games pitching. Had Cy young awards.
He was a decent fielder.
Had 715 HR which has been surpassed, but leads in almost every other lifetime offensive stat category.
And had a lifetime slugging percentage of around .690 (only 10 guys have surpassed that for a season since he retired.)
But, he played against only white players and at a time where he was way ahead of the curve athletically.
I think that if all eras could be shoved together, Barry Bonds would rise to the top, and be shown to be the best. His bat speed through the strike zone is unbelievable. (Yes, he is too old to field now, but he used to be a pretty good fielder)

it truly is undemanding to rank: 8. Bench(ideal catcher in all threat ever- I Rod is close) 7. Pete Rose(Charlie Hustle says all of it!) 6. Stan the guy Musial(ideal hitter at the back of Williams in his era) 5. Ken Griffey Jr(might have been between the ideal ever yet injuries have taken a extensive toll on his profession) 4. Barry Bonds(even without steroids, he became the ideal participant interior the NL for years) 3. Alex Rodriguez(will finally end up breaking Bonds profession HR checklist and placed up spectacular profession numbers around the board earlier he retires) 2. Hank Aaron(Hammering Hank became Mr consistent and an Allstar actually his total profession) a million. Willie Mays(maximum execs agree that Mays became the ideal participant interior the well known era alongside with Mantle and Ted Williams. once you lookup 5 gadget participant interior the dictionary..there might desire to be a image of Willie Mays).

I think speed and smart base running makes the greatest player, and who was great at both of these, while also having pop in his bat and a good fielder, that would be
RICKEY HENDERSON
and oh yeah, he is not retired yet!!!!!!
