About the dog poo several people mentioned, well, stepping in dog poo sucks, but to be honest it sucks worse stepping in it shod than barefoot. I only started barefooting outdoors when I was almost 29, so I've had plenty of time to do both :-P and I must say, it's harder to wash off many types of shoes (suede shoes, any shoes with ridged soles), and also being barefoot you're sure to notice, wearing shoes there's the chance you don't notice until you've gone inside and tracked it all through the house, on the doormat, on the carpet! Yuck, yuck and yuck again! No, I'm not some kind of dirty-feet fanatic, I hate dog poo, I hate people who let their dog poo on the sidewalk, but if I absolutely have to step into it at some time or other, barefoot's still to better.

Actually I don't like to be barefoot anywhere except in my house and in the sand on the beach. I don't like the feeling of stuff under my feet. I like to wear flip flops, so that I can feel my enviornment between my toes.

yea especially when i step on a wet soapy sponge, like i did today when i was doing a bike wash! it felt so cool. Then i like being barefoot when im stepping on anything soft

Yep! I love to be barefoot no matter where I am ... on tar, grass, or nice plushy carpet!

No. This is when I show off my Chinese beaded slip-ons
in all the colors to match my outfits. I can run inside and kick them off and have clean bottom feet.
