We sing that a lot in my Church.
I have so many. Some of my favorites are There is a Fountain, Sweet Hour of Prayer, and What a Friend We Have In Jesus.

Amazing Grace- that, I alone fell away from they church and all the I thought was nonsense at the time, but when I found my way back and realized the higher power loves us no matter what. I was accepted back with open arms

Either the Old Rugged Cross or Amazing Grace, both remind me of my parents who are both now deceased.

Amazing Grace is technically a hymn, right? If so, that's always been my favorite for sure because it is so simple and true. The one you mentioned is my best friend's favorite as well :)

"Abide with me." It was always the last hymn sung in church, when I was forced to go as a kid, so it meant the boring meetings were over, and I could go play in the dirt with my friends.

Mine is In the Garden of Eden. It even made it to the Simpsons. A haunting melody.

"The reason why we sing". It reminds me of going to church every Sunday with my grandma. Now that she's gone I constantly dwell on that one particular song
