You're the type of person that everyone interupts when you talk. So you get irritated and stop talking or you're just in a quiet mood and all of a sudden everyone wants to know why you aren't talking. You start talking and they interupt you again. Why is this? They don't want to hear what you're saying when you're talking but they do when you're not.

I think that you are hanging out with some people who are not good listeners. Find some people who not only talk but also listen. This will give you more confidence for dealing with the people who do not listen.

the truth usually when someone says that to me or interupts me i just tell them straight out you asked and now im telling you wait until i am done speaking.

Maybe you just need to speak up when they ask and say "i've stopped talking cuz u don't listen when I do"....

i believe that they are trying to be nice and ask questions and pretend to listen, but really they think ur the person who is "just there"
