Well, in a way, yes, it is unsafe to have a MySpace. There's tons of internet predators searching on MySpace than any other social network/blogging site out there. If you have friends, your friend's friends could have access to your MySpace page, because they are also part of the "extended network" that MySpace uses. And you don't know who your friend's friends are. Just be sure not to give out any valuable info on the web. Don't tell things like your address, neighborhood/building, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, nothing like that. It's okay though to tell things like schools, and your city. But nothing more than that. MySpace is actually a really crappy website. Live Spaces (http://spaces.live.com is much more better suited for safety. Try it. Good luck.

Well now a days hacking is very common, even a MySpace account is easily accessible when it's set on private. All you can really do is change your password when your account is Phised or when you know you have been hacked. I know it gets annoying.
In my opinion a MySpace account in general is not unsafe...

I unquestionably think of that the whole "MySpace is risky" ingredient is setup by a gaggle of stupid mom and dad who could blame something for the whoreish young ones by fact they went and did something stupid on it. as long as its on inner maximum, and you do no longer plan to fulfill every person you have on no account met, you're completely superb. heavily, as long as your handle isn't on there, no one is going to return like, stalk you. Why might somebody like, look at someones photos on myspace and then attempt to discover that individual in actual existence? Creepy stalker human beings might merely carry on with somebody they see on the line. as long as you have common experience, myspace is unquestionably risk-free.

that point has been proven "yes" this week on the news, a person was unable to finish her teaching degree at college with what she put on her page,, it went against her
remember what you put on the internet is there for everyone to read, everything you do on the internet is recorded, and kept and things can be traced back to the person that placed it there

sometimes it's dangerous because people still passwords, but if this happens just change your password, and watch what websites you go on. DON'T put too much personal info on your page.

kind of, i mean people can use any info they find on myspace and most of the info you put there, they can see. Anyone can view a lot of your info on myspace unless you don't put very much info and you do your best to kep it private. I think there is a way where you can keep others from seeing your info.

In my opinion i would say it could be harmful. Not to just have an account. But when you look at other peoples sites and view other things on there because it puts alot of files in your temporary. I have seen viruses come from myspace. just by send and recieving messages. my antivirus wouldnt delete them so i had to go deep into the files and find it and manally delete it.

i have had a private myspace for almost 2 years and i have never had a problem. just make sure you dont put any personal information (last name, address, school) and you shouldn't have any problems. also make sure you don't become friends with total strangers, that's dangerous.

depends on how you use it and how safe you are with it.
now, people can easily hack into your myspace account with "phishing".
when you noticed that a friend of yours has had an account hacked into, delete them right away if you have private info on your page. they can check it out, too.
