Probably the flasher module, usually in the box with the fuses and relays.

Grand Am's are notorious on having problems with the turn signal switch. I've taken mine in to get the switch fixed, from the recall notice...but the problem came back. BUT, I've finally figured out the problem. The problem lies in the lubricant used in the turn signal switch. When the temp rises, the lubricant starts to short out other parts of the switch, most people get the "clicking" sound from the center console. In my case, the short ruined my switch. The Pontiac dealer replaced the switch, but the problem came back. I bought another switch from Autozone and later on the problem came back AGAIN! I took apart the switch and found the lubricant was all over the place. The switch was defective again, over lubrication. My suggestion, test the flasher fuses first with a digital multimeter. If you have power, then check the wires to the bulbs. If all else fails, take off the turn signal switch and take it apart. There are a few screws and a spring, make sure that you don't lose the spring. It all goes together pretty simple, just make sure that you take off as much lubricant as possible. It takes about 15 mins. to fix.

First thing to do is check your fuses. These should be under the hood with a plastic cover over them. Take it off and it tells you what fuses go where and w hat they are for. You can tell if they are good or bad by taking them out and looking to see if the metal piece inside is burnt into. Just replace it. Could also be a flasher fuse. Autozone, Pepboys or Orielly's can help u out on this.

Make sure you check all the bulbs, then check the flasher. It's up under the steering wheel.

K...the next step would be to check your 4-way flashers and see if they come on...if not it will be a flasher unit/relay most likely
