There is no such thing as "modern" circumcision. It is a primitive, barbaric practice that should have gone out with witch burnings and other horrific ways of dealing with sexual repression. The "modern" way is to leave the foreskin alone.

It takes one week before the pain of the operation dies down, the stitches stop hurting and the nocturnal erections stop being agony! I'd advise a week off work if you are planning to undergo the operation.

Once the stitches are are out and the initial dressing removed it isn't too painful. I was advised to forgo intercourse for a month but I'd say healing was as good as complete after 7 days with the removal of the stitches. But I'd advise you to avoid anything rigorous for 28 days just to be on the safe side.

Hmmm . . . iirc, a couple of weeks or so. But I wouldn't recommend that you do it. It's just not necessary and many people claim that it reduces the pleasure you get from sex. You may also have hair growing too far up the penis. I think that's more common with circumcision done at earlier ages, but still. Good luck!
