Senator Brownback said "We don't need a national ID;we have Social Security cards. We don't need a new system and we don't need a new ID card."
I agree that we don't need a national ID system because it has too many loopholes for abuse. We need to stop using Social Security numbers as ID. We need to put a stop to the flow of American dollars into homes and personal accounts in other countries. $23 million of our money to Mexico is too much, and how many billions are we spending in Iraq?

I *would* have guessed Ron Paul but in all honesty that quote looks like it's almost defending Social Security and we all know what Dr. No thinks of SS.
It couldn't have been Giuliani or Romney because if I remember right they were *for* national ID cards.

Is a national ID card more in line with old Soviet ideals or the ideals upon which the Founding Fathers championed?
